The 5 Step Challenge Plan
The beginning of this coding challenge will provide you with the foundations of the HTML language. You’ll learn how to create, organise and structure the content of web pages. And you’ll do this by becoming familiar and experimenting with the surprisingly small number of elements needed to express your ideas in the online world.”
This module will provide you with the foundations CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). CSS is used to define your web pages’ styles, including the design, layout, and display variations. Step 2 is a little harder, but once you get through it, you’ll be ready for the rest of the week.
On Step 3, we look at HTML 5 and the Semantic Web. HTML5 is a markup language used for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. The Semantic web is a development of the World Wide Web in which web pages are structured and tagged so that it can be read directly by computers.
This module will look at Responsive Design. Responsive web design is about creating web pages that look good on all devices! A responsive web design will automatically adjust to different screen sizes.
Our final module will cover Javascript Basics. JavaScript is the most popular programming language. Javascript focuses on the behaviour of a web page and the interactivity of a web page.
On completion of this free coding course, you will receive a Certificate of completion. You’ll have learnt the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. More importantly – you’ll find out if becoming a software developer is the next step for you, and could earn a funded place on our Level Up: Women In Tech programme.
