AI Tech Skills Forum 2024

The AI Tech Skills Forum 2024, co-hosted by Code Institute, TechIreland and Longford Westmeath Education and Training Board, is the first event of its kind in the North East / Border region. Our aim is to engage with key regional stakeholders to support setting Irish businesses for success in an AI-driven landscape. The event will bring tech founders, talent heads and skills-experts to participate and hear two expert panel discussions on AI adoption.

Carlos Garcia, Head of AI Strategy, Irish Manufacturing Research

Carlos is an Industrial Engineer with a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. He is currently the Head of AI Strategy at Irish Manufacturing Research, where he leads the center’s AI strategy to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of manufacturing companies. Carlos has participated in tens of EU research projects in different capacities and he is a member of the SMART Eureka cluster on Advanced Manufacturing. He is passionate about teaching and communication, keen to demystify AI and inspire others by sharing compelling insights and facts. Carlos strives to deliver complex concepts in an accessible manner, sparking curiosity and understanding of the role of AI in our future.
