| Key Achievement | 30 to 40% reduction in manual reporting time through a Power BI dashboard built during the capstone project |
A 30 to 40 per cent reduction in manual reporting time, a single source of truth replacing scattered spreadsheets, and client conversations grounded in evidence rather than intuition. These are the outcomes Shweta Kelkar brought back to her consulting practice after completing the Professional Certificate in Data Analytics and AI at Code Institute.
Shweta is an IT consultant and founder of The Work360 Foundation, where she supports organisations navigating digital transformation and responsible AI adoption. With over 20 years of experience across UBS, Lloyds Banking Group, and Thames Water, she already had a strong strategic foundation. The course gave her the hands-on data skills to act on it at a technical level.
Why a Technology Consultant Chose to Build Hands-On Data Skills
Shweta had long worked with data at a programme level, using dashboards and performance reports to guide decisions. She wanted to go further. As AI became more central to her clients’ priorities, she recognised that strategic awareness needed to be backed by technical fluency in how data is collected, cleaned, and modelled.
She enrolled in Code Institute’s Professional Certificate in Data Analytics and AI to strengthen her skills in data modelling, predictive analytics, and machine learning fundamentals, so she could engage more credibly with data teams and support her clients in making higher-quality decisions.
How Data Training Helps Professionals Walk into Meetings with Facts
One of the most immediate changes was in the quality and confidence of client conversations. Where recommendations were previously grounded in experience alone, Shweta could now build the evidence that supports them.
“After completing the course, I can now have evidence-led conversations rather than relying on my intuition. People respect me more for bringing data into the conversation.”

This is especially valuable when advising on AI adoption. Shweta can now challenge assumptions about data quality, interrogate model integrity, and help organisations avoid acting on outputs they do not fully understand.
“It enhances my ability to challenge assumptions, ask better questions about data quality and model integrity, and ensure that transformation programmes are evidence-based rather than opinion-led.”

What a Professional Built During the Programme and the Results It Delivered
For her capstone project, Shweta redesigned reporting for a digital transformation programme she was leading. She built an interactive Power BI dashboard that automated data ingestion, applied structured data cleaning, and used DAX measures to generate real-time performance metrics.
Manual reporting time dropped by 30 to 40 per cent. Spreadsheet inconsistencies were eliminated. Stakeholders could drill into delivery performance and risk trends in real time rather than waiting for the next update. The dashboard created a single source of truth that transformed governance conversations at leadership level.
The programme also opened up new service lines. Shweta now offers risk and governance dashboard design as part of her consulting work through The Work360 Foundation, building directly on what she developed during the course.
