A ready-to-deliver, learner pathway into software development leveraging content, platform, and support from Code Institute to enable colleges to teach at scale. This course is designed to meet the objectives of the National Skills Fund and Adult Education Budget funding streams. This programme is designed to help learners develop their knowledge and is a pathway course to further and more advanced training.

Introduction To Software Development
The qualification gives learners a foundation in Software Development. They can progress their skills in a work setting or by transitioning to the Level 5 Diploma in Web Application Development.
Course content covers the fundamental elements of modern software development and provides learners with the framework to develop their skills using practical, project-based methodologies.

Certification And Funding
The qualification is awarded by Gateway Qualifications and has been approved by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) which regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments in England and Qualifications Wales, the regulator of non-degree qualifications and the qualifications system in Wales. Full details of funding in England are available from the Education Skills and Funding Agency. The qualification is funded under the Adult Education Budget provision and via the National Skills Fund.
Funding is available to adults in England who earn less than the National Living Wage annually (£18,525) or are unemployed. This is regardless of their prior qualification level.
